1. Tell me about hiding rocks at Barlow Park this morning. (See photos below.)

A Big THANK YOU to this guy and his mom for painting rocks. A special rock was painted for each child to hide. (Go rock hunting tonight at Barlow Park and see if any are still there!) :) The kiddos were sooo excited!

2. Tell me about your nature walk this morning. (See photos below. We are beginning our unit on trees, so after hiding our rocks at Barlow Park we walked around observing trees and collecting "tree treasures"! (leaves, twigs, seeds, bark--We will be putting these into a tree scrapbook in the coming weeks.)

(We even grabbed some tiny pinecones from Mrs. Willoughby's backyard!)

3. Lay out the clothes/items that you will need for tomorrow's field trip to South Woods. (Please dress your child weather appropriate with pants, socks, and old shoes or boots that can get dirty. Bug spray/sunscreen needs to be applied at home before your child comes to school. Your child is welcome to wear a hat if they wish.) :)

Thank you in advance to the parent helpers signed up to chaperone at South Woods. Please meet us there at the entrance. We plan to leave school at 9:05.--(Please look for an email from me tonight with more details.)
