1. Where is your rest spot?
2. Yesterday, you practiced riding on the school bus. Tell me an important rule you learned to follow while riding the school bus. (Bottom on the seat, backpack in your lap, voice level 2 or quieter, wait until the bus is stopped before you stand up to get off, hands and feet to self, etc.)
3. What kind of look book did you read today? (Look books are books from our classroom library that your child cannot read yet, but can look at the pictures to find out information or make up a story.)
**In your child's folder today, you should find his or her school photos.
For our morning work, we explored and created with pattern blocks today.
We held our first morning meeting today. Morning meeting is something we will do every day from here on out. It's a great way for us to get settled in, connected with one another, and ready for the day.
Taking a brain break to dance a bit...
Finally exploring some baskets of books from our classroom library. Today we looked at ocean books, farm books, transportation books, and dinosaur books. We also read the book, Wild About Books by Judy Sierra to spark our interest of the many kinds of books there are in the world for us to enjoy!
