3. Tell me about one of the playground rodeo stations you visited today. (See photos below).

**Your child practiced three safety drills today (fire, tornado, and lockdown). They did a wonderful job with all three. During the fire drill, we practiced exiting the building in a quiet and quick way. During the tornado drill, we practiced sitting in a way to protect the back of our heads/necks. And lastly, during the lockdown drill we practiced "hiding" in the alcove of our room and sitting very quietly. 

Mr. Jahns (one of our custodians) is teaching all about great choices to make in the bathroom.

Ms. Naparalla is showing us how to use the bottle filler at the drinking fountain.

Playground Rodeo Stations...

Mrs. K taught us about the different items that we can use on the playground during recess. She also taught us how to use the smart track that is painted on the black top.

Mrs. Blank taught us about safe choices to make while playing on the equipment.

Here is our new Playground Expectations sign. It helps us to remember to make good choices while outside.

Here we are practicing those great choices we just learned about.

Mrs. Matthias taught us how to correctly use the swings. She taught us that we should drag our feet when we want to stop and never jump off.

And finally, Mrs. Oakes taught us about all of the different games and activities we can do while we are out in the field.
