1. Where is your carpet spot? Who do you sit by?
2. Where is your table spot? (See photos below)
3. What did you do for multi-age time today?
(Half of our class joined Mrs. Long's first graders and went to her classroom to learn about the big word "assertion" (standing up for yourself in a respectful way). They read the book Stand Tall Molly Lou Mellon by Patti Lovell and wrote/drew one way they could stand up for themselves on a heart. The other half of the class joined the other half of Mrs. Long's first graders and stayed in our classroom. We learned about the big word "cooperation"(working together). We read the story Maybe Something Beautiful: How Art Transformed a Neighborhood by Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell. We then cooperated with a small group of students to design and paint a small branch. These branches will be combined with all of the other Journey classes at the end to create a 3D hanging heart.)
**Don't forget tomorrow is dress like a twin day (or wear a hat and be twins with the class)!
